Galagathon is an annual series of events founded by Mark Schult and assisted by Galaga Group. Join us all August and September as we stream Galaga content and raise money for kids! Last year we raised over $1000, and this year we’ve set our goals high at $2000!

How to Get Involved

The best way to help us out is to donate! Any amount helps! And be sure to spread the word on social media!

Galaga Group is hosting a live tournament at 2DCon in Minneapolis, August 27th – 29th! Jacob Upland, Jordan Dorrington, Jake Goldberg and others will also be meeting and greeting people, playing games, and hanging out all weekend, and trying to raise donations on stream for Riley Children’s Hospital and AbleGamers with 2DCon!

Along with the live tournament, those who cannot attend will be able to submit scores online at CAG Tournaments as part of Galaga Group. See how you measure up against the live contestants and see how you measure up against the live competition chasing the highest score in the first 31 Stages!

If you are a streamer that likes to play Galaga or other retro games (or anything else you feel would be a good fit!), feel free to join our Team and take donations! For more details, get ahold of us on Facebook or Discord for help setting up as part of the donation team and getting graphics to use on stream. The simple instructions are:

  1. Open an Extra Life Account
  2. Visit the Galagathon 2021 team and sign up with the team
  3. When selecting the hospital, search “Indiana” in the network finder and select “Riley Children’s Hospital.”
  4. Stream and raise money with us!
